Yeah… it’s shameless self promotion time!

Sorry for the radio silence, but I’ve been working on a new project; I’ve been making a website for a new webcomic that just updated for the first time on Monday, Fantastibad: I Kinda Like It (it’s a pretty bare-bones site which speaks VOLUMES on my programing ability). It’s a comic from the EXACT same people who brought you Maq #041. Kim is doing all the artwork and the story is written by me.

With only one comic up at the moment, there really isn’t a lot to show, but I would at least like to make you aware of it’s future existence. The comic will probably be “released” on an unsuspecting public sometime in late May or early June.

I hope you all enjoy it!

Edit:
No, this doesn’t mean Maq #041 is dead.

For those who are fans of video games, such as Breath of Fire or Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, you may have heard this (these) term(s) before:

Simoon (or Simoom)

In Breath of Fire 3 & 4, it was used as a Wind/Fire hybrid spell. In Golden Sun, it’s the name of one of the Jupiter Djinni. So, what exactly does Simoon/Simoom mean? Well, here’s the answer!

Simoon (also called Simoom)
noun

Definition: “Extremely hot and dry local wind in Arabia and the Sahara. Its temperature often reaches 55 C (about 130 F), and the humidity of the air sometimes falls below 10 percent. It is caused by intensive ground heating under a cloudless sky. Simoom is an Arabic word that means “poison wind.” It refers to the wind’s tendency to cause heatstroke as it brings more heat to the human body than is removed by the evaporation of perspiration.” (dictionary.com, though it sounds like they got it from Encyclopedia Britannica).

I hope that was enlightening~
